Our Collaborative Romance Novel
I think the best way for us to collaborate is if we make this novel epistolary. The story will be told through letters between the characters.
Here’s what we have to get started, and what we still need.
You’ve chosen a trope–Unrequited Love.
The second most voted on trope was Lost Heir, so I will include it as well.
We’ll tell Corinna’s story. (She is a minor character in An Honorable Man). Corinna is the daughter of the late Earl of Rosecrest, and now sister of the present Earl of Rosecrest. This is her second season in London. She had no offers last season. She is living with her older brother and his wife, Lady Jaminna Capener. Corinna is reserved, quietly lovely, as opposed to a stunning/eye-catching beauty. Corinna tries to conceal her interest in scholarly pursuits, but it just isn’t always possible.
She is writing to her best friend, maybe cousin? Honora, Nora to her friends. She didn’t come to town for the season. Death in the family, perhaps? But not one that touches her too deeply. I don’t want her mourning in truth–just in custom.
This is set during the French revolution. Don’t you think we need a little intrigue related to that?
